After profiling, the Verdatum manager tracks all of the audio files, providing real time status reports as well as historical reporting of such vital statistics as the date and time the dictation was created, the date and time sent, the length of the dictation, the date and time of transcription, and the total time required to complete transcription, as well as many other statistics related to the dictation process. The file is also tracked and controlled through the Interwoven/iManage metadata. Administration is simplified through the tight integration with Interwoven/iManage, and security is also handled through Interwoven/iManage, easing administrative burdens and providing you with the assurance of a system you already trust.

Verdatum facilitates the creation and management of audio dictation, the beginning of the document production process. The management of that process is passed to the tried and trusted enterprise solution, Interwoven/iManage. Once the document has been transcribed it is related to the audio file. Audio files are then set to expire at the administrators option. Just as an enterprise would not think of having separate servers for it's Word, Excel, and Adobe documents, it makes no sense to set up a separate server for the management of audio files.
